Gary Selof

Gary began rowing at age 56 in the fall of 2019 as a sculler after he saw a short video about the program and thought it looked like fun. Indeed the sport has given him more than just fun, it provides him with stress reducing activity and exercise! Gary is a retired military chaplain and served with the Iowa National Guard, retiring in 2017. Gary drives a school bus for Polk county and is an active father with 4 children from highschool to college ages and beyond. Gary has not had a chance to compete in rowing as yet, however he was able to attend an event in August with DMR in Davenport. Like many of us, Gary has the rowing bug and looks forward to rowing well into the future.
